Netflix's movie "10DANCE" has announced its official release date of December 18th, and has also revealed two new cast members: Doi Shiori and Ishii Anna.
The film is adapted from the manga of the same name by Inoue Sato and is directed by Otomo Keishi, who previously directed works such as Rurouni Kenshin, The Legend & Butterfly, and March Comes in Like a Lion.
The film tells the love story that unfolds through dance between Shinya Suzuki (Takeuchi Ryoma), a Japanese Latin dance champion, and Sugiki (Machida Keita), a Japanese ballroom dance champion. Suzuki is the Japanese Latin dance champion, while Sugiki is the world's second-ranked ballroom dance champion. The story begins when Sugiki tells Suzuki, "Let's become the champions of 10DANCE together." This 10DANCE competition requires participants to be proficient in five Latin dances and five ballroom dances, a total of ten dances.
Initially, Suzuki refused Sugiki's challenge, believing that coaching each other for the world championship was too risky. However, Sugiki's provocative and competitive attitude impressed Suzuki, and he eventually agreed. Through constant practice and rehearsals, although the two occasionally argued, they gradually developed a deep bond, and Suzuki began to feel attracted to Sugiki.
