On October 29th, Taiwanese media reported the heartbreaking news that renowned singer Tang Na had passed away at the age of 59. Upon hearing the news, friends and acquaintances in the entertainment industry expressed their condolences; however, many are still struggling to accept this sudden and tragic loss.

There are two speculations regarding the cause of Tangna's death: one is cancer, and the other is a relapse of lupus, but the latter is more likely. It is reported that Tangna passed away on October 16th; however, her friends did not receive a response when trying to contact her family until the news was made public.

On Tang Na's social media, her last post was poignant: *“Life is a one-way ticket. Don't waste time clinging to bad things, thinking bad thoughts, or doing things that harm yourself and others.”* This statement is full of profound philosophy, making her untimely passing all the more heartbreaking. Over the years, almost every song she sang has become a classic.

Tang Na was born into a poor family and began working at the age of 14 to help support her family. This difficult experience forged her independent and resilient character. In 1986, Tang Na released her debut album, *Farewell to the Boundary*, under the stage name "Donna," which achieved great success and opened the door to the entertainment industry for her. Several songs from the album, such as "Extravagant Desire," "One-Sided Love," and "Freedom," became classics of that era.

While her music career flourished, Tang Na was also active in film, television, and hosting. Her first film was "The Vanguard," directed by Wang Yu. Although younger generations may not be familiar with it, her portrayal of the female lead is still considered a classic. Subsequently, she played the second female lead, "Yang Hong," in the period drama "Return the Pearl to the Emperor," produced by Yang Peipei, which brought her instant fame. From 1992 to 1993, she also participated in the filming of the classic TV series "The Legend of the Martial Arts."

However, it was in this same year that Tang Na suffered a major blow in her life. After attending the Golden Bell Awards ceremony, she was involved in a serious car accident on her way home and fell into a coma and was hospitalized. Perhaps it was this accident that led her to pour so much emotion and pain into her later album "Extravagance," which became a sensation in the music scene at the time. "Freedom" and "Retreat" won her the hearts of many fans.

The constant pressure and recognition severely impacted Tangna's emotional well-being, leading her to suffer from stress syndrome and mild depression. Fortunately, she later found inner peace through yoga and made it her primary focus after retiring from the entertainment industry.

In 2017, Tangna met Xue Zhiwei, a Jewish entrepreneur with a net worth of over 100 million yuan, who became her "Linggu" (a metaphor for a life-changing event). After their marriage, she worked as a yoga teacher, and her life seemed to be on a happy track. Who would have thought that the news we would hear now would be of her passing?

We can only silently wish that Tangna continues to do what she loves in another world, and may she rest in peace.
