The upcoming drama "Can This Love Be Translated?", which will premiere on January 16, recently released a new set of stills. The stills show the main cast, Kim Seon-ho, Go Yoon-jung, and Fukushi Sota, filming in different countries, raising viewers' expectations for the drama's romantic atmosphere.

"Can This Love Be Translated?" tells the love story between Joo Ho-jin (Kim Seon-ho), a multilingual interpreter, and Cha Moo-hee (Go Yoon-jung), a top star, whose working relationship gradually develops into a romance. Amidst the interplay of language, culture, and identity differences, their relationship undergoes unexpected and heartwarming changes.
In the released stills, Japan becomes the location where Joo Ho-jin and Cha Moo-hee first meet. The two stand facing each other across railway tracks, symbolizing the lingering distance between them. Director Yoo Young-eun deliberately created a subtle yet stirring emotional tension during this phase of filming through eye contact and spatial composition. Go Yoon-jung also stated that as filming progressed and they gradually became more familiar with each other, this feeling of attraction naturally seeped into their performances.

As the story unfolds, the stage for their deepening relationship shifts to Canada. Natural landscapes such as sunsets, aurora borealis, and lakeside scenes become important backdrops for the characters' growing bond. Kim Seon-ho revealed that this was a period where their characters' relationship noticeably deepened, and also a time when his chemistry with Go Yoon-jung significantly improved during filming. Go Yoon-jung stated that the filming process was relaxed and enjoyable, which also enriched her performance.

In the Italian episodes, the production team focused on presenting a more mature and tranquil romantic atmosphere. The winter scenery of Europe, warm lighting, and falling snowflakes added a peaceful and delicate emotional undertone to the story. Kim Seon-ho described the filming atmosphere during this phase as "pleasant and happy," and praised the director and fellow actors for creating a positive creative environment.

Director Yoo Young-eun also revealed that when filming in South Korea, she deliberately avoided grand scenes and instead chose everyday yet beautiful urban spaces, hoping that the audience could discover a familiar yet touching side of Seoul through the characters' lives and journeys.
Using a cross-border setting as its narrative structure, "Can This Love Be Translated?" attempts to explore how love flows across language and cultural boundaries, and also presents viewers with an emotional relationship that slowly grows in various parts of the world.
