TVING's original drama "Villains" recently released new stills, officially revealing the ambiguous and turbulent cooperative relationship between Yoo Ji-tae and Lee Min-jung, making this high-stakes showdown surrounding "super counterfeit money" even more unpredictable.
As a crime action drama, *Villains* revolves around the core narrative of ultra-precise counterfeit money. The exchange, theft, and retaliation of counterfeit and genuine currency culminate in an escalating life-or-death struggle among a group of criminals with their own agendas. Every turn of events has the potential to alter the entire situation, maintaining a palpable sense of tension throughout.
In the latest stills, J (Yoo Ji-tae) scrutinizes the high-quality counterfeit money with a calm and sharp gaze. He rose to fame with his sensational "Croupier Counterfeit Money Case" at the casino, his flawless record exuding a chilling sense of control. Meanwhile, Han Soo-hyun (Lee Min-jung), a top currency design expert, infiltrates the mission disguised as a casino dealer. Her teaming up with J is not voluntary, but rather driven by a desire for revenge for the moment her life crumbled, waiting to overturn the entire game in her own way.
J and Han Soo-hyun are in the same group, yet each harbors their own ulterior motives. The subtle tension and unease inherent in this dangerous collaboration are amplified in the stills. In a world where alliances constantly shift and betrayal is ever-present, whether they can achieve their goals remains uncertain, and the "super counterfeit money" scheme within a scheme is even more treacherous than imagined.
Yoo Ji-tae shared his creative insights, stating that J's charm lies in his talent and unwavering determination. He wanted to create a character with a unique rhythm, different from traditional villains, and therefore referenced various genres. Lee Min-jung added that the characters in "Villains" are intense, with constant deception and counter-deception, and she believes that as the plot progresses, viewers will become increasingly curious about the ending. She also looks forward to seeing Han Soo-hyun's resilient fight back against adversity.
The first two episodes of "Villains" will be released on December 18 at 6 PM (Korean time).
